Matter-Antimatter Annihilation: Energy Release And Conservation

Matter and antimatter are a mirror image of each other and their collision results in complete annihilation due to the conservation of energy and mass. When a particle collides with its corresponding antiparticle, both particles are destroyed and their energy is released in the form of gamma rays. This annihilation process is supported by the conservation of charge, spin, and momentum. During annihilation, the mass of the particles is converted into pure energy, following Einstein’s famous equation, E=mc².
