Blacken Brass: Achieve Patina Elegance

To blacken brass, apply ammonium sulfide, potassium sulfide, or liver of sulfur to a clean and degreased brass surface. Heat the treated brass using a torch or heating element, maintaining a temperature between 150-500°F. Monitor the color change and stop heating when the desired black patina is achieved. Allow the brass to cool and seal with a protective lacquer or coating.
